The Pew Research Center survey finds that the coronavirus outbreak is having profound impacts on the personal lives of Americans in a variety of ways. Nearly nine-in-ten U.S. adults say their life has changed changed in a major way. As a result, the virus has impacted how American’s travel.
With leisure travel becoming non existent, most Americans have started to venture out into their own backyards and are starting to discover places that have been neglected to local travel.
Big Sur has never closed. Places like Big Sur have seen a steady inflow of day visitors during the pandemic and longer stays as restaurants and hotels reopened. The openness of the area and the fact that The Pacific Coast Highway runs through it; made it an ideal destination for a quick getaway.
